About the Trainer

"One of my long time customers, whose dog I've had in training since she was 11 weeks old, interviewed me in order to write this bio for me. My customers really are the best!" - Thanks Rowans' Mom! * now I am training their 2nd dog Sassy*

Emily spent over 6 years training at a corporate pet supply store where she has had the opportunity to train an average of 60 dogs per week. She is certified in Positive Reinforcement Training, Canine Good Citizen and Star Puppy Training. She is also part of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers.

Emily is committed to always improving her knowledge base through continuing education. She started out as a Kids' portrait photographer where she managed 11 kids' portrait studios. Doing that gave her patience. After that she was a pet photographer contracted to a corporate pet supply store where she photographed 30 dogs a weekend. Working with so many dogs in this manner, she was able to study their body language and understand the subtlety in which our canine friends can communicate with us. Most importantly, she is a pet lover herself and is a pet parent to an Australian Shepherd named Einstein, 3 cats, 2 horses, 2 snakes, and a tarantula

She started the first successful puppy playtime on the east coast. On average, there would be 30 puppies every Saturday. She not only teaches you how to teach the dog, she also explains why the behavior is important. She explains why dogs do what they do and helps you understand how they communicate. She gives so much knowledge that people go through her classes and think they are trainers themselves! It is very rewarding to hear a child tell his friends how to properly greet a dog. Many people that go through her training are inspired to become trainers themselves. Her motto is "anything for the pups" She opened up her own training facility so her dogs could have a safe place to play and work. She truly does put the dogs' wellbeing first, not just as a slogan but as the truth! She becomes emotionally bonded to every dog that goes through her training. She feels that her customers are the best and recognize and appreciate her honesty. Emily lives for puppy snuggles. She occasionally does " puppy adventures" with the dogs. She does this so people can see how their dogs interact in public. She goes above and beyond at any opportunity she has for her pups!

Einstein now has a human little brother is of June 2018!
